Bop City features lyrical experts Mic Blake and HoFlow,
but the group’s live show can change depending on venue,
audience and creative desire. There are at least three performance
incarnations we would like to introduce you to.
The Big City
The full band incarnation enables the group to embrace not
only its hip hop foundation, but also the New Soul characteristic
of its musical identity, with original R&B style compositions
that feature rhymes and singing by Caitlin Cornwell and other
divas the group may collaborate with.
The Little City
This incarnation includes keyboards/G4, electric bass, drums
and two Emcees. The format highlights the lyrical wit and
on-stage rapport these two seasoned lyricists share, and provides
an opportunity for Mic Blake and HoFlow to hit the crowd with
diaspora of hip hop lyricism, including spoken word, storytelling
and freestyle.
The SubUrban
A smaller venue or more traditional hip hop show might call
for simply a DJ, keyboards and drums.
